Released as a youngster by Dunfermline Athletic before playing out in Hong Kong with China Fortune. Given chance in first team under Terry Christie turning in to one of the best players at the club. He is likely to link defence with attack and his vision for the defence splitting pass as well as taking on defences himself, along with robust tackling in midfield make him a great favourite with the Alloa fans. Has been attracting attention of scouts at recent games.

Signed: Berwick Rangers, January 1997

Other Clubs- Fauldhouse United

Talented player with undoubted ability, however, injury in past has hindered progress, good on the ball with first class distribution. A versatile player who can play in defence or midfield. Not a prolific goalscorer but nevertheless one of the most important players at the club when injury free.

Signed – Spartans , September, 1999

This is not the first occasion Max has played under his father’s guidance, having been with him at both Meadowbank Thistle and Stenhousemuir. Signed initially on a one month deal prior to Bell’s League Challenge Cup tie versus Ross County at Dingwall last season, he has a fine pedigree having spent time as a youth player with Heart of Midlothian. He then moved overseas playing in Hong Kong with South China Athletic before returning home to play with Dundee in the Premier Division. Progressed into one of the side’s most consistent players of last  season and an automatic choice in side.

Signed – Dunfermline Athletic, August, 2000

Other Clubs – Burnley, Bradford City, Birmingham City, Millwall and Barnet.

Manager Terry Christie’s most recent signing on the eve of the transfer deadline, after impressing as “Trialist” against Forfar Athletic in pre season friendly at Station Park. A native of Scunthorpe, who prior to joining Dunfermline Athletic in July 1998 had played all his football in English league. Orginally signed at East End

Park on short term contract but was rewarded with two year deal after impressive displays in the Premier Division with “The Pars”, player with tremendous shot if given opportunity, suffered last season due to long term injury.

IAN LITTLE (Forward) Born 10.12.73               Height 5.6                              Weight 8.12

Signed – Livingston , February, 2000

Other clubs : Meadowbank Thistle and Stenhousemuir.

Player who had three spells for club last  season, having been on loan twice prior to moving to Recreation Park until the end of the season. Fast, tricky player who can cause oppostion defences no end of harm with his movement on and off the ball. Resigned again for this season which is a great coup for the club being a player who has played both full-time and at a higher level.

CHRIS WOOD (Midfield) Born 29.9.79            Height : 5.10                          Weight : 11.7

Signed – Stirling Albion, July 2000

Other Clubs : Falkirk and Gairdoch Utd.

A competitive left – sided midfielder, who started as a youth on Falkirk’s books, before returning to Gairdoch United. Early last season broke into Stirling Albion side after being given the chance as “Trialist”. Still a young player who is still learning, eight game ban last season will be one record he will want to lose quickly. A player with great engine who will be a powerhouse in midfield. Scored two goals on Alloa debut against Stenhousemuir in  Stirlingshire Cup match at Recreation Park. Currently club’s top goalscorer this season with six goals in all competitions.

STEVEN THOMSON (Midfield) Born 19.4.73                 Height : 6.2            Weight : 12.0

Signed – Hamilton Accies, June, 2000

Other Clubs : Airdrie, Stenhousemuir, East Stirling and Kirkintilloch Rob Roy.

LEE GARDNER (Forward) Born 11.1.70                           Height: 5.5             Weight : 9.5

Signed – Clydebank, July, 2000

Other Clubs : Aberdeen, Ayr Utd, Meadowbank Thistle, Arbroath and Albion Rovers.

Vastly experienced player who can operate in midfield or up front.  Although only five foot five will fight in middle of park for possession and his distribution and use of ball brings others into play. Enjoys scoring goals and still has an eye for goal when further up park.

WILLIE IRVINE (Forward) Born  28.12.63                        Height : 5.10          Weight : 11.3

Signed – Berwick Rangers, July, 1996

Other Clubs : Stirling Albion, Hibernian, Dunfermline Athletic, FK Vidar (Norway), FK Valerangen (Norway), Airdrie and Meadowbank Thistle.

Still is Alloa’s most influential player on the park, a terrific signing by Tom Hendrie back in July 1996. A good influence on the younger players around him with his vocal support. A player who leads by example and who has scored a number of important goals for the club. An inspiration playing in midfield, always likely to create goalscoring opportunity. Scored a hat-trick in  Stirlingshire cup tie against Dumbarton at Recreation Park in 4-1 victory showing he has lost none of his sharpness in front of goal.

ROSS HAMILTON (Forward)  Born 17.6.80                    Height : 5.10          Weight : 11.0

Signed – Stenhousemuir, July, 2000

Other Clubs : Grahamston B.C.

Club’s most recent signing, who joins his old Ochilview  management team in Terry Christie and Graeme Armstrong who had taken him straight from schools football with Grahamston B.C. back in August 1998.

The £ 26,000 paid for Ross is a club record and shows the faith Terry Christie has in the player, who has progressed through the Divisions, progressing from the Third to the Second last season, ending up top scorer at Ochilview last season with ten goals, and will now get a chance to prove himself in the First Division.  He’s exceptionally quick with youth on his side. Opened Alloa scoring account with double against Inverness C.T. and more recently on target in league against Falkirk in 1-1 draw.

CHARLIE BRIGAIN (Forward) Born 15.10.80                 Height : 5.80          Weight : 10.4
